Razed Courthouse
The old courthouse on the townsquare was razed in 1962 after the new courthouse was built. The clock tower is seen collapsing in the photo.
Arkansas Railroad Depot
This is the old Gould Southwestern Railroad depot. The name was later changed to the Arkansas Railroad Depot in Star City. The Gould Southwestern ran from Pine Bluff down to Gould and then ran west to Star City.
Logging Industry

Doc Nobles Service Station
One of the first gas stations in Star City was owned by A.E. "Doc" Nobles. This gas station sat where the Federal Building is now located in Star City at the corner of Jefferson and Wiley Streets.
Matthew's Service Station & Garage
Rousseau Matthew's Service Station and Garage in 1924. Photograph shows the various changes that occurred on the townsquare after a fire in the early 1920s destroyed several businesses.
